Arriving at the beach, she reflected on her life. She felt the warm sun on her face. She heard the tide breaking against the rocks over and over. The rocks under her feet became smaller and smaller as she got closer to the water. She knew the water would be cold to the touch but warm enough once she got used to it. The ground under the water would be gritty and wet and the water would be salty on her skin and her face.
She was a child again, jumping each wave and walking into the water holding her daddy’s hand. Her father always held her hand tight and she felt so much security that when he held her hand, she felt like she could do anything.
These memories will be forever in her lifetime. She will share this moment and other treasured moments with her children. Hopefully her children will share her memories and make new ones.
I certainly hope that they do! Well written! Thank you for participating in the Mondays Finish the Story challenge! I hope to see you again next week! Be well… ^..^
