FFAW – Directionally Challenged

Thank you Ady for our prompt photo this week

“I am following the sun”, he says, “WE ARE NOT LOST!”

She sighs and grabs hold of the child on her lap. “If we are not lost, then why haven’t we found land yet?”

“Land is that way…I am following the sun and it sets in the west. We will find land very soon!”

“Mommy, I am scared. What if we never get off this boat?” says the young child.

“Don’t worry honey, daddy will find our way to land.” she says glaring at the father with death rays in her eyes telling him without words that if he doesn’t get to land soon, she will push him off the boat and ask for directions somewhere. He should have just asked for directions when there was another boat around. A compass would have been nice instead of his directional brain.

She thinks, “Pride is OK when the rest of us don’t have to be involved in it. He better find our way home soon or I will be our new captain.” Literally, she wouldn’t push him off the boat, but if he snarkily tells her to be quiet one more time the heat stroke will get to her and who knows what a hot, hormonal woman may due in the time of crisis.

Geez, just ask for directions next time.

  1. A very unique take on the prompt.. I do hope they find a boat soon and get directions, can’t imagine the husband helplessly swimming on water and following the boat while wife positions herself in bow and says ‘Forward Ho’ πŸ˜€
