Drifting

“They said it didn’t exist!” Anna exclaimed!  “It is even more beautiful than I thought.”  It was Zebra Head island.  The green hills, turquoise ocean and the high mountains were picturesque. The beautiful birds flying overhead were searching for food.

Anna said softly and passionately, “I just want to paint this beautiful scene!”. She and her husband Michael had been sailing across the lands looking for the perfect place to capture the beauty of the water and the mountains.  They were told of this lost island called Zebra Head (due to the mountains looking like the head of a Zebra).  It was unbelievable that they had finally found the perfect scene.

They put up their canvasses and brought out their oil paints and spent the day painting a scene that no one had painted before.  Life is Great!

  1. Your lovely description of the island makes it the ideal place to paint. I like the comparison of the mountains to a zebra’s head, too. 🙂
(I don’t know whether you realise, but you have an exclamation mark after ‘Anna exclaimed’ which isn’t needed. Hope you don’t mind me pointing that out.) 🙂

  2. Very picturesque indeed, although I was waiting for a line that said “they were then lost with the island forever”.
    Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story!
